The Master Plan

The Master Plan
Things don't always turn out
the way I think they should...
but situations usually happen
for the highest common good.
And I have seen it often
when disaster seems afoot
that miracles will transform
what appears to be hard put.
Solutions to dilemmas
that seem quite out of reach
appear on the horizon with
a lesson there to teach.
And there is always purpose
though most often I don't see...
and somewhere in the rubble
is a gift awaiting me.
I have come to learn that
The Master has a plan
And if I will but trust Him
I am firmly in His Hand.
He has yet to disappoint me,
yet, each time, I fear He will...
In fact, He loves me truly
even when I doubt Him, still.
So when the sky looks dreary
and fear plays in my heart,
and circumstances threaten
to collapse and fall apart...
I pause before I panic
and remember that He's near.
In spite of how it looks, today,
I have no need to fear...
And thank Him that He loves me
and put my trust in Him...
to lead me on this journey
when my world is looking grim.

Beautifully put! I love these lines
I have come to learn that
The Master has a plan
And if I will but trust Him
I am firmly in His Hand.
So true, one needs to experience this to be able to write it and it shows!! Thank you for sharing !!
Tndr- This message in thispoem reminds me so much of another beautiful poem "Footprints". Yes, HE does know when we need to be carried, and it is in those times when we feel we cannot go on, that he "Lifts" us up, and "Carries" us through them. -Paul
